NFL Sunday Ticket on YouTube Now Includes Live Chat and Highlights in Short Videos

YouTube has announced additional features for NFL Sunday Ticket this season, including the ability to engage in live chat and read others’ opinions during football games. These features will be accessible on both mobile devices and televisions.

YouTubers can watch live NFL highlights on Shorts. On Sunday afternoons, highlights include a red Live ring around the channel’s Avatar, and clicking on this will direct users to the NFL Channel’s Live tab. That’s where Sunday Ticket subscribers can decide which game (or games thanks to multi-view options) to start watching.

Another thing that can be useful for viewers is highlight replays, a handy YouTube TV feature that the platform brings to Sunday Ticket. You can catch up on a game you couldn’t watch or watch big games before joining the live action. The feature will be available only on television this season, the first multibillion-dollar, seven-year deal YouTube has struck with the NFL for Sunday Ticket rights.

Naturally, YouTube is trying to recoup its investment in Sunday Ticket and is now offering more ways for fans to sign up. Starting today, Sunday Ticket will have a monthly payment option in most states, helping fans spread the cost of their subscription over a longer period of time. It may take a few days for the option to be available in your region on YouTube and YouTube TV.

However, the monthly plan is not available to people in Georgia, New York, Minnesota, Nevada, Missouri, Tennessee, or New Jersey. Residents of these states must pay in advance for a season-long Sunday Ticket subscription (now starting at $349). Meanwhile, YouTube says student plans will be available sometime next week.
